Description
Big Muff is an absolute classic of dirty, rubble sound with an almost gigantic sustain. This is by no means a universal distortion and is aimed primarily at fans of long notes solos. A lot of low midrange, a lot of "dirt" and a few seconds of sustain is the sound of Big Muff. The effect has had at least a dozen versions over the years. Most of them do not differ in the diagram but only in the values of the elements and can be built on the same PCB.
