Description
The variable high-pass filter 20Hz ... 200Hz allows to cut the band from the bottom in a controlled way, getting rid of the excess of low frequencies. Paradoxically, it works great with lowered tuning or 7/8 string guitars, because these often have a huge amount of bass, they cause distortion to sound muddy. By cutting slightly the lowest frequencies, we can regain selectivity and enjoy a powerful low sound. The circuit works just as well with bass, allowing you to, for example, cut the bottom line in a verse to hit full force in the chorus.
